Job Description:

The Transformation Delivery Excellence Principal should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and be a deadline driven self-starter. The successful candidate will be hands-on, focused, and energetic. The successful candidate will report to the Head of the Enterprise Digital Transformation Office and is expected to develop relationships with all levels of executives, staff and vendors and will be a member of the Transformation Leadership Team. This position will have plenty of exposure to the AIA Philippines Leadership Team.

The Transformation Delivery Excellence Principal is a critical business role that looks left-right across the Project Management Lifecycle to coach and enable different project delivery roles to accelerate the timely deployment of Technology, Data, and Analytics (TDA) projects to empower digital transformation acceleration for our customers and distribution partners.

The Principal will also be responsible in governing the planning, resourcing, execution and close-out processes for the end to end delivery of the TDA Program. He/she will proactively govern the scope, schedule, budget, risks, outcomes and benefits, alongside Project Leadership. He/she will work with other teams within AIA Philippines, where required ie. Marketing, Operations, Distribution (Agency/BPI-AIA), Local IT and Group IT departments to ensure alignment between the Local TDA Steering Committee Members.

Driver of Transformation Delivery Process Excellence Discipline:

  • Instilling delivery process discipline, adherence to standards and excellence in execution while holding delivery managers accountable to quality and accuracy.
  • Coach and enable the Program and Project Managers on EPMO Process Excellence
  • Coach an enable different project delivery roles to adhere to Project targets and hold delivery managers accountable for Project Management Process quality and completeness.
  • Establish and drive a well-defined, predictable rhythm of the business (RoB) / rhythm of connection (RoC), that enforces great discipline in delivery and consumption processes and delivers over-achievement of Project results through core delivery and consumption motions.
  • Leverage business insights and transformational leading indicators to benchmark performance and define current and future actions needed to grow the business faster than the overall market.
  • Governing the successful delivery of TDA transformation initiatives according to Group and Local Standards; Score Card Management of Project Delivery
  • Ensure proper/timely communication and approval for change requests are made during TDA Steering Committee

Thought Leader for AIA PH Project Management:

  • Development of Project Management Capability and Leadership across the organization
  • Communicates with staff, managers and executives of relevant departments.  Communicates with all levels of management, stakeholders, directly or through channels, as the need arises. 
  • Communicates directly with vendors or training outsourced providers, clients, regulatory bodies and the business community bearing in mind all the corporate values of the company. He/She may consult proper company authorities, as he/she deems fit, before making any communications externally
  • Leader in Project/Program Management Community of Practice
  • Development of Project Management Capability and Leadership across the organization

Minimum Skills and Qualifications to be considered for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree (in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting Information Systems or related field preferred) and an appropriate certification, including a CPA, CIA, CISA, FLMI and/or PMP (any); Master's Degree (Preferred, but not required)
  • 8+ years of experience preferably in Financial Services/Insurance & information technology space
  • Demonstrated ability in a Program Management Governance role with experience in similar roles in Financial Services/Life Insurance, Big 4, or other consulting firm, highly preferred
  • Adept in creating and cascading new methodologies across enterprise.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time.
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of integrity including ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism.
  • Thought leader in industry practices within Life Insurance Core Processes and Project/Program management.
  • Adept in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project), and Power BI.
