Your role

About the Internship

At Colgate-Palmolive, they offer an exceptional Internship Program within the Global Information Technology Department. This internship is a six-month paid program, starting in June and continuing into the fall as part-time with the opportunity to extend. Their program provides Interns with the opportunity to work with a global and diverse workforce as well as apply their conceptual knowledge of business and technical skills within a global consumer products company.

This position requires a 6-month commitment (June-December).

Role:

    Each Intern is assigned to a unique team and project upon hire working in areas including Mobile Development, Full-Stack Development, Front End Development, and more. This assignment will be based on what projects are available and the intern’s interests and skillset. Essentially, the program is a structured education strategy integrating the student’s academic knowledge and career goals with learning through productive work experiences in a sphere related specifically to Global Information Technology. Their Internship program provides students with valuable work experience as well as providing Colgate-Palmolive with a source of highly talented candidates. 

      Training & development

      In this role, Interns get opportunities to network with multiple cross-functional teams. These relationships thrive on mutual trust and integrity to achieve deliverables and execute against the strategy and goals.

      Throughout their program, Interns will gain exposure to the latest business practices and cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, Interns will function as integral team members throughout the development life cycle by working with business and technical analysts to evaluate issues, develop solutions, implement processes, and support existing applications.

      Salary & benefits

      The expected compensation hourly pay range is $21.75 - $32.0/hour.

      • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
      • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)

      • Must be available to work up to 35 hours/week during the summer and 15 hours/week during the academic semester.

        Requirements:

        • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at a college or university with a graduation date of or later than December 2024.
        • Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business/ IT Systems Management, or a related field.
        • A minimum GPA of 2.8.
        • Documentation of authorization to work in the United States, not requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
        • Technical knowledge and skills, completed coursework, projects, or relevant work-related experience.
        • Familiarity with programming languages and web-related technologies.
        • Previous work experience in software development is a plus.
