Narish Saira P. Bagadiong

Experience a day in the life of a Telesales Assistant at Integrated Computer Systems, where every day starts with dedication, from preparing a wholesome breakfast to building strong client relationships.

7.30 AM

My alarm goes off. It’s another day to be productive! I start my day with a glass of water to rehydrate after a long night's sleep. After freshening up and completing my morning routine, I prepare a home-cooked breakfast since I work from home. As they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I truly believe that. Chef’s Kiss!

7.45 AM

Fifteen minutes before logging in, I do some house chores to energize myself. I clean my workstation and open the windows to let in a fresh breeze. With five minutes to spare, I prepare my work apps and tools. Now, I’m ready to start the day!

Since the pandemic, we transitioned to a work-from-home setup. Thanks to online meeting tools, I can easily touch base with my colleagues every morning for a chat and to maintain our bond. One of the things I love about my job is the strong camaraderie I've built with my colleagues. When pandemic restrictions lifted, we occasionally met up outside for meetings and get-togethers.

Work intensifies. As a Telesales Assistant, I spend a lot of time reaching out to clients. I call them to inquire about their IT requirements. If they have a need, I forward it to our Account Officer; if not, I send over our company profile and nurture the relationship. Given the nature of my role, patience and perseverance are key.

12.00 PM

Time for lunch! I set my phone alarm, then grab my lunch. I enjoy watching movies or TV series as I eat – it's a highlight of my day!

1.00 PM

With lunch over and feeling rejuvenated (thanks to a hearty meal), I'm back at my workstation. I continue with my calls and emails to clients. I manage a specific brand account and use their partner portal to monitor leads sent my way.

To combat my occasional procrastination, I use a Google sheet to track tasks, add comments, and ensure I don’t overlook anything.

2.00 PM

Now, I have a meeting with our Product Manager. She lets me lead the discussion, sharing details and updates about the leads. Although it can be nerve-wracking, I feel a sense of accomplishment presenting in front of the team. Receiving compliments for a job well done makes it all the more rewarding.

3.30 PM

Time for a quick break! After sitting for a while, I do some stretching and then grab a snack.

3.45 PM

It's time for my final round of calls. Our Product Manager and Marketing Communications team provide a list of companies for validation. I carefully verify these companies to see if they're already in our database.

6.00 PM

6.00 pm rolls around, and I log out. Time flies! I make it a point to always log in and out punctually. After work, I engage in Pilates at home to ensure I get my daily dose of exercise.
