Your role 

What you'll do:

  • Assist in the day-to-day growth, success, and administrative tasks of SMP’s new Global Business Office (GBO; a new division dedicated to globally transforming music publishing organization)
  • Provide support to GBO personnel and leadership in a timely and thorough manner, including assisting with: Department and Process documentation, leveraging Microsoft Suite, Ad hoc research, analysis, and reporting to the team, Progressing SMP’s transformational Value Streams, ranging from Songwriter care to Contracting to song Registration to Royalty Accounting and beyond, Presentation preparation, proofing and editing, Scheduling/organizing meetings and specific content, Organization of material, Special projects requiring creativity, input, and ideas, Remote and in-person meetings (varying responsibilities) Program Management and Value Tracking Support.
  • Learn about the compelling, strategic, and persistent vision; achieved through prioritized, executable initiatives and teamwork.
  • Learn about organizational transformation methodologies.
  • Learn about the decision-making framework, featuring business users, business analysts, enterprise architects, project managers, etc.

Training & development

This program offers hands-on experience in drafting, reviewing, and redlining production agreements, certificates of ownership, and standard terms. Get guidance on the chain of title documentation and form preparation, and learn about entertainment business practices, employment issues, and intellectual property concerns. Integrate these skills into your training program for a comprehensive learning experience.

About you

Who you are:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university.

  • Able to adapt quickly to a changing environment with minimal disruption.

  • A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details. You can never take too many notes.
  • Excel experience.

  • Proficient in MS Suite and desktop versus online.
  • Experience using CRM is a plus.
  • 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events
