Doctorate (PhD)
The Doctor of Juridical Science is a research doctorate with a coursework prerequisite. If you have already completed a Master of Laws by coursework, this course offers the opportunity to engage in independent research on a topic relating to one of the School's areas of research expertise. A central requirement is the completion of a thesis of at least 55 000 words that makes a significant and original contribution to knowledge in the context of professional practice.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 10 - Professional Doctorate.
