The Master of Teaching curriculum brings together theory and practice in a way that will give you powerful insights into how students of all ages learn. MGSE's unique partnership model means you'll spend a significant amount of time in schools and develop the professional skills to assess, diagnose and support the learning needs of all students.

MGSE also offers courses for professionals across areas including languages education, learning intervention, positive psychology, leadership and management, arts education, science and maths education, and more. There are short professional certificates, plus graduate certificates and masters degrees available. Many of these courses are offered in part time and full time mode, with flexible class times across weekends, evenings and school holiday intensives.

MGSE's teaching, research and engagement centre, studioFive, is a space that generates pedagogies to meet the needs of 21st century learners. Its also one of seven international UNESCO Arts Observatories.

Research centres

The Melbourne Graduate School of Education is home to many research centres, including Assessment Research Centre (ARC), and Centre for Positive Psychology (CPP) through to Centre for Program Evaluation (CPE) and Centre for Vocational and Educational Policy (CVEP). 

Research hubs

MGSE also has a number of research hubs, including: Language and Literacy Research Hub and LEaRN@MGSE (The Learning Environments Research Hub) through to the Science of Learning Research Hub.
