This interdisciplinary degree allows you to undertake complementary studies in Humanities, Social Sciences and Accounting. The Professional Accounting component offers learning in career-specific areas including Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Business Law, Public-Sector Accounting and Taxation. Successful completion of the appropriate subjects fulfils the membership requirements for CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). Students enrolled in this degree have an opportunity to participate in an accounting work placement. The Arts component allows students to pursue an area of intellectual interest such as a language, politics or the social context in which students may choose to practice as an accountant. Admission requirements are VCE Units 3 and 4 of English (any) with a study score of at least 25 in English. Applicants with comparable qualifications will be considered. A limited number of students may also be considered under Special Entry Schemes. Note:LTU0AIM is a not-for-credit subject that students are required to complete at the commencement of their first semester. The subject is designed to enhance students' knowledge and awareness of issues concerning academic integrity.
