About this course

A postgraduate course in strategic communication offers you the opportunity to be part of an industry-focused degree.  It covers a broad spectrum of strategic communications including issues and crisis management, community relations, government relations and internal communications. The Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communication is designed for graduates seeking to develop skills in professional communication and can serve as a pathway into the Master's degree. It's taught in block mode to meet the needs of those already in the workforce. Applicants must have qualified for either a Bachelor's degree or a graduate diploma from a tertiary institution of at least three years' full-time duration (or equivalent). Applicants with a graduate diploma require the approval of the Strategic Communication Program Coordinator. The course consists of 60 credit points of fifth-year level subjects as follows. Students choose two subjects (30 credit points each) to complete. All subjects are taught in block-mode at the Franklin Street Campus in the city.
