What's your role in the department?
I’m a Policy Officer in the International Partnerships Branch of the Higher Education, Research and International (HERI) Group. My team is responsible for strengthening Australia’s education engagement with priority partner countries in Southeast Asia and Latin America to promote greater education and trade services.
We work to strengthen government-to-government partnerships through policy development and implementation; implementing projects in the higher education space; facilitating partner country visits and delegations; and supporting our overseas Education and Research Counsellors at Post.
What's been the highlight of your experience in the Graduate Program?
Some of the highlights of my graduate experience include getting to know and working with fellow graduates and colleagues. Learning alongside others is what really makes the graduate experience so unique.
What tips do you have for future grads considering the Education program?
I would advise 2024 Graduates to be open to trying new things, ask as many silly questions as possible, and don’t take yourself too seriously.
